Jim Barrett, Associate Director, Construction and Infrastructure, Australian Industry Group

J D (Jim) Barrett joined the Australian Industry Group in 1995. Prior to joining Ai Group, Jim was Director Development with the Federal Government’s Construction Industry Development Agency from 1991 - 1995.

Jim is also Executive Director of the Australian Constructors Association (ACA), an organisation formed in 1994 to represent the views of major contractors to Federal and State/Territory Governments and other major industry organisations.

Jim is a Director of the Australian Construction Industry Redundancy Trust, a Director of the Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council Limited, a Director of the Australian Commercial Dispute Centre, a Director of the Australian Construction Industry Redundancy Trust Fund Pty Ltd, and a Director of the Australian Certification Authority for Reinforcing Steels Limited.
Jim is also a founding member of the Australian Chapter of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation and a member of the Federal Safety Commissioner’s Industry Reference Group.
